This industrial die holder can be used in the tailstock of most mini lathes, or any other lathe with a #2 Morse taper tailstock. It has a short Morse taper for the mini lathe so you may need to put a ball bearing or such like behind it so it will eject from lathes that expect a standard-length 2MT taper.

The arbor is made of steel. The body is aluminum for low mass, so it spins easily when you release it. This prevents small parts from twisting off.

This lathe die holder works with ROUND dies. Round dies are for NEW work, whileHexagonal dies are not made for creating new threads, but are for maintenance work.
